Many Manhattan-based hotels do not offer an airport ‘pick-up’ service. There are several options to travel from New York JFK airport into Manhattan:
- SuperShuttle– This is a shared-ride airport shuttle service, providing door-to- door ground transportation. The cost is approximately $US25. Further details are on their website.
- Taxi/cab– The ride from the airport to your hotel upon arrival is at a fixed rate (currently $US5O) into Manhattan. This can be less expensive if you are able to share with a colleague.
- Public transport to and from JFK airport to the city costs approximately $US7:00. However, consider the need to negotiate bags from the station to your hotel, which can be difficult and stressful after such a long journey from Australia.
There is also a quick Guide public transportation from the airport to the City website.
